Tipography
Printing has represented “tradition” for Pettinaroli ever since its founding in 1881. This art has always been nurtured in all its forms, with every stage of production personally overseen: from manual composition using old lead typefaces to the actual printing process.
In addition to letterpress printing, we also use the thermographic technique as well as refined raised enamel, starting from steel plates still meticulously hand-engraved.
We do not use technologically advanced machinery because we believe that, in order to print certain typefaces with the desired effect—those that truly distinguish particular works—the best machines are still manual or semi-automatic ones, where the craftsman must continuously oversee each single sheet or card being printed.
Perhaps precisely for this reason, our clients turn to us for the production of everything that is not intended to be commercial, but rather elegant and tied to tradition: business cards and letterhead, birth announcements, wedding invitations, party invitations, cocktail or inauguration announcements.
